I am so excited to have found this website!!! I am the proud new owner of my late fathers pride and joy... His 1947 Indian Chief... before he passed, he commented to my older sister,  that I would be the only one of his 3 girls to ride the Chief.  He said the other two are short shits (not meant to offend) and that I ride horses so I was strong enough to handle the Chief... well that being said... it kinda lit a fire in me and now I have gotta find out for myself just what it is about that motorcycle  he loved so much!!!

Welcome to the site and congrates on a great piece of machinary, Have you riden any motorcycle before? So did you ever listen to what your  dad said about how to start & work the ignition advance as you ride it???????? Also if you end up not riding it for a long while or storing it, there things you need to do to properly store it so it will be runable when ready.  Tkae Care & congrates. Got any photes yet?
